Guided visit: The Memory Shelter in Uffholtz
The theme of this guided tour: Memory and culture
L’Abri memoire invites your students to reflect on history through art exhibitions and other activities.
Close to the Hartmannswillerkopf, this former World War I sanitary shelter offers a variety of programs addressing notions of memory, citizenship and peace.
Currently, explore the site around the exhibition “Guilty stories: the plural memories of witches”. Three visit formats are available, linked to a workshop led by the Abri memoire teams: a guided tour proposed by the mediation team, a drawing tour where young people reproduce the works on display, or a self-guided tour.
This new exhibition takes a look at the history of witches in Alsace, with a case in point known to all.
Goals and teaching tools:
- Supervision by a member of the site's technical team,
- Cards to print out before the visit,
- Bibliographical material for further study,
- Quiz.
To note:
- Accessible to disabled persons.
