The Grand Ballon resort is located near the highest point of the Vosges massif (1424m altitude). The view of the Alsace plain is impressive. 8 slopes for all levels, served by 3 ski lifts are available. The plus: a snow rope is available for beginners.
Thanner Hubel is a small, authentic resort. Access to the slopes is on foot (10 minutes walk to prepare and warm up). It is the ideal place for off-piste, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing. There is even an FFS-approved red slope available.
