Workshop: Cyanotype photography
The theme of this workshop: Craft entreprises
Philippe takes you on a journey of discovery through cyanotype, a photographic printing technique invented in 1842 that produces a cyan blue, or Prussian blue, photograph. Each child brushes a photosensitive solution onto a sheet of drawing paper and applies the negative of a photo they have chosen over it. The whole thing is then exposed to ultraviolet light (in the sun or using a photoexposing device, depending on the weather conditions). Finally, a dip in a water bath and the miracle happens. The photo appears as if by magic.
